Record breaking figures at Kenya’s biggest construction trade exhibition


The 25th BUILDEXPO KENYA 2024 is back in Nairobi from the 05th to 07th June 2024 at the Kenyatta International Convention Center (KICC). This year the event is bigger than ever with exhibitors from 43 countries. The annual international trade event will be inaugurated by Mr. Juma Mukhwana, the Principal Secretary, for the State Department of Industry, Ministry of Investments, Trade, and Industry, Govt. of Kenya on the 05th of June at 11 AM. The inauguration will be attended by ambassadors and key commercial representatives from various countries along with industrialists, builders, architects and association leaders from Kenya and East Africa.

The trade fair showcases various industry products related construction, woodworking, mining, lighting glass, waterworks technology, HVAC-R, roofing, locks and security and many more important equipment and machinery. Major exhibitors include the Moscow Region – Russia, Saudi Exports Development Authority, Iran Innovation Fund, Mashkimprom, Meta Plant and Equipment, Mobikey, Treea Machinery, National Edging, Dynamic Lighting, Iluminia, Terex, Hudson Mining, Mr. Ceiling, Welspun Di Pipes, Aliaxia Middle East, King Tiles, NECST Motors and many more from around the world.

The building and construction sector in Kenya is one of the key drivers of the country’s economic growth and development. The sector is mainly supported by the government’s ambitious infrastructure development plan, which includes projects such as the Thwake Dam, Standard Gauge Railway, the Lamu Port-South Sudan-Ethiopia Transport Corridor, the Nairobi Expressway, the Konza Technopolis, and the Affordable Housing Programme. The sector also benefits from the increasing demand for residential and commercial buildings, driven by the rapid urbanization, population growth, income growth, and tourism growth.

Being the premier exposition in the East African region the BUILDEXPO KENYA is expected to carry on the success of the last 24 years to the upcoming edition. The event stands as the leading trade fair for the building and construction sector.
The exhibition has found support from the local industry and trade bodies including Ministry of Lands, Public works, Housing and Urban Development and Ministry of Mining of the Government of Kenya and Kenya Chamber of Mines (KCM), Kenya Green Building Society (KGBS).
