The energy sector is looking into new ways of generating power to ensure at least 98 percent of Kenyans have access to electricity by 2030.
Energy minister Kiraitu Murungi says the sector is facing major challenges mainly because we rely on one source of energy.
He says his ministry will look into geothermal, wind and solar among many other sources of green energy to increase production from the current 1,300 MW to 15 thousand MW.
