Along with the road project the council approved the completion of the Police Service Commission headquarters in Abuja. According to sources, the project was approved for variation to enable its completion over the following six months. The council also approved the completion of the Nnamdi Azikiwe Mausoleum in Anambra State. The project was started but not completed by the previous administration. “The council approved the additional funding to complete it from US $4.1m to US $5.3m,” the minister affirmed.
Additionally the council approved the variations of the cost of the Enugu-Onitsha highway and the Amansia section of US $107m, to enable the contractor progress with the work. Efire-Araromi-Aiyede-Aiyela road to connect Ondo and Ogun states was also approved at a cost of US $40.1m.
