Sonangol, revitalized by privatization efforts, is committed to economic growth through oil and gas development. The company, in partnership with TotalEnergies and Petronas, initiated the Kaminho deepwater project, targeting production by 2028. Additionally, the Agogo Integrated West Hub Development Project, in collaboration with Azule Energy, will drill 36 wells and feature a 120,000 bpd FPSO, set to operate by late 2025.
Sonangol also confirmed positive results from drilling in Block 11 of the Kwanza basin, enhancing the Tobias field’s potential. Emphasizing sustainability, Sonangol’s Falcão Phase 2 gas project will bolster the Angola LNG plant’s capacity, supporting the energy transition and regional energy security.
