Health Facilities Receive Sh54M Worth of Medical Supplies from County

A cargo of medical goods valued at Sh54,460,920 was flagged off by Uasin Gishu Governor Dr. Jonathan Bii Chelilim from the Kenya Medical Services Authority (KEMSA) for distribution across the county’s 138 healthcare facilities.

Speaking at the Uasin County Referral Hospital during the exercise, the governor reminded the locals that the facilities now have the essential medications and encouraged them to visit the nearest medical facility anytime they feel ill.

As the county starts the New Year, Governor Bii underlined the value of the supplies in improving healthcare.
In order to bring high-quality healthcare closer to the people, he reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to enhancing and finishing the development of health facilities throughout all sub-counties.

The county chief recognized how important collaborations with organizations such as KEMSA are to bolstering the county’s healthcare system and guaranteeing fair access to healthcare.

Along with him were senior county authorities and Evans Kapkea, his deputy.
