JA Solar Provides High-Performance Photovoltaic Solutions to Support Ghana’s Sustainable Future

With a 507 kW rooftop-canopy solar PV power plant at Ghana’s National Information Technology Agency (NITA) Park in Accra, JA Solar, a world leader in the PV sector, is promoting clean energy. The project was created in partnership with RIFE Energy Ghana and TINO Solution and is exclusively powered by JA Solar’s high-efficiency PV modules. It represents a significant turning point in Ghana’s shift to sustainable energy. Acknowledged by the African Solar Industry Association, it establishes a new standard for West African solar adoption.

In order to fulfill the demands of a demanding tropical climate that is marked by high temperatures, heavy rainfall, and strong UV radiation, the NITA PV project produces 696,000 kWh of electricity yearly. The choice of JA Solar modules was motivated by their great low-light performance, low degradation rate, high energy yield, and good temperature coefficient, all of which guarantee stability and efficiency over the long run.

With outstanding durability and efficiency in a range of climatic situations, JA Solar’s products are guaranteed to satisfy the highest industry standards thanks to its dedication to quality and innovation. With a track record of success in Africa, JA Solar keeps helping clients by lowering energy expenses, improving sustainability, and providing long-term value with cutting-edge photovoltaic solutions.

“The NITA solar PV project shows its dedication to connecting renewable energy sources into national infrastructure a true reflection of Ghana’s spirit of innovation,” said Ursula Owusu-Ekuful, Ghana’s Minister of Communications, at the project’s inauguration, underscoring its importance.

“This project is more than just an energy-saving project; it shows our commitment to technological advancement and sustainability,” stressed NITA Director-General Richard Okyere-Fosu. NITA is aggressively lowering carbon emissions and promoting a cleaner, technologically advanced future by implementing solar electricity.

Projects like the NITA solar PV power plant support JA Solar’s goal of providing clean, dependable, and efficient solar energy solutions to communities, businesses, and institutions as it grows its footprint in Africa.
