The vodka producer has agreements in place for two North African markets.
The distiller Nemiroff, situated in Ukraine, has agreements in place for distribution in Egypt and Tunisia.
Odyssey Group, a distributor of tobacco and alcoholic beverages, has been assigned by the firm to manage its De Luxe and The Inked Collection vodkas.
Beginning in the third quarter of the year, the spirits will be sold at locations such as Misr Foreign Trade and Egypt Air Duty Free Shops.
According to Nemiroff, this was the company’s first formal distribution arrangement in Africa when it signed up with Odyssey. Through distributors and dealers, its products have been sold in markets such as South Africa and Nigeria.
The CEO of Nemiroff, Yuriy Sorochynskiy, stated that Egypt and Tunisia “offer tremendous potential.”
He continued, saying, “Egypt is particularly well-suited to experience significant growth in the alcoholic beverage sector, driven by rising demand from younger adults. New product developments and retail expansions are also expected to drive market growth.”
Nemiroff says its overall volume sales increased 42% to 3.4 million cases in 2022, but it does not release income numbers.
The distiller “saw remarkable growth in the UK, Finland and France,” according to Nohra Ramzi, the company’s area manager for the Middle East, Africa and Asia, who spoke with Just Drinks without providing specific numbers.Sales of De Luxe at travel-related retailers “almost doubled” in Germany, Cyprus, Poland and France, according to Ramzi.
Nemiroff declared earlier this year that it would be entering the Indian market through a distribution agreement with Amistad Spirits.
The primary Nemiroff production facilities are situated close to the town of Nemyriv in central Ukraine.
