Southern Africa Launches the First Sandvik Hybrid Mobile Machine.

In collaboration with its distributor in southern Africa,S&R Enterprises, Sandvik Rock Processing has introduced the first Sandvik dual-powered mobile machine in the area. The device is a Sandvik QA452e triple deck size screen with tracking and doublescreen technology.

The launch is a response to the increasing need for electric mobile crushing and screening solutions in southern Africa, according to PC Kruger, Business Line Manager for Crushing at Sandvik Rock Processing.

The desire to lower the total cost of ownership is the main motivator in the area, notwithstanding the technology’s sustainability benefits.

Smith said that lower maintenance expenses are one of the technology’s main advantages. The electric motor drive increases machine availability by lowering the requirement for hydraulic oil and diesel engine maintenance. After 10,000 hours of use, the machine uses up to 50% less hydraulic oil.

“The introduction of the first Sandvik dual-powered machine represents a major step towards a more economical and sustainable future for the local mobile crushing and screening industry,” Kruge said”.
