Tanzania Dental Association in acronym TDA, is a professional Association of Oral Health personnel in Tanzania. The core mission of the Tanzania Dental Association is to promote research and professionalism so as to enhance the provision of quality oral health care in Tanzania.
Tanzania Medicines and Medical Devices Authority (TMDA) is an Executive Agency under the Ministry of Health, Community Development, Gender, Elderly and Children (MOHCDGE). TMDA is responsible for regulating quality, safety and effectiveness of medicines, medical devices, diagnostics, biocidals and tobacco products. In order to improve public service delivery, TMDA is managed as an Executive Agency in accordance with the Executive Agencies Act, Cap. 245 which was also amended in 2009. TMDA protects and promotes public health by ensuring quality, safety and effectiveness of medicines, medical devices, diagnostics and other health related products.
TanTrade is a Public Institution created by Act No. 4 of 2009 which is responsible for advising the Government on matters of forming, developing, managing and implementing business policies and strategies in the country, controlling and consolidating the development of the domestic and foreign market. TanTrade is also responsible for building the capacity of Trader Communities on how best to manage domestic and foreign trade activities, establish, maintain and develop a Business Information Database in the country as well as organize and coordinate Dar es Salaam International Trade Fair. Salaam-famous as Sabasaba, Industrial Exhibitions, Caravans and Traders’ Meetings.
MAT is registered as a Non Governmental Organisation under the societies ordinance SONO 4102. It was formed in March 4th 1965. The association brings together medical professionals eligible for practice in Tanzania. The current MAT leadership was elected on November 12th, 2016 thus becoming the 18th MAT national council since its establishment. They promote and safeguards the interests of medical professionals from both the private and public health sector. It is registered according to the Laws and Regulations of the United Republic of Tanzania. MAT’s Purpose is to safeguard the interests and welfare of the members of the Association, the promotion of the medical and related arts and sciences and maintenance, to unite all medical practitioners in Tanzania
