Tanzania’s DeskTop Productions Acquires East Africa’s First HP Indigo B2 Sheetfed Digital Press in a Bid to Scale its Services

Tanzania-based commercial printing firm DeskTop Productions (DTP) has implemented the first HP Indigo B2 sheetfed digital press in East Africa, bringing the HP Indigo 10000 into its increasing business to pave the way for digital development and offering clients outstanding value at quick, affordable speeds.

The printing industry is changing to require shorter print lead times, low waste requirements, and the need for interesting and meaningful printing. Therefore, the commercial market offers a chance for company development. However, as the financial landscape changes worldwide, the minimum amounts needed to make offset viable are gradually becoming outdated. This is particularly felt in Tanzania, where the bulk of printing is carried out by small to medium-sized businesses that merely do not have the means to place big orders. Digital printing overcomes this challenge by making it possible to print tiny amounts at an inexpensive price without compromising quality. The HP Indigo 10000 investment fills a present gap in the activities of DTP.

In 1991, Tanzania’s first graphic design and pre-press studio were established by Hanif Abdulrasul and Shafiq Abdulrasul. Over the centuries, DTP has grown into an extremely important printer in Tanzania, working with major businesses in East Africa, in the philosophy and vision of remaining true to print craftsmanship.

Shafiq Abdulrasul from DTP says,’ The HP Indigo 10000’s enhanced efficiency enables DTP to attract earlier hard to absorb company enterprises. This involves variable publications, packaging and high-end printing on a medium scale. Compared to our present digital configuration, the HP Indigo 10000 offers a 200% rise in production.’

HP Indigo 10000 Digital Press is a digital B2 sheet-fed press that generates a broad variety of business applications with impressive print quality, high productivity, and broad versatility.
