Mining industry has potential to contribute up to 10% of kenya’s GDP according to the government

Government projections indicate that the mining industry might boost the country’s GDP by up to 10%. Principal Secretary for Trade Abubakar Hassan said at a business event.

“The government of Kenya recognises the pivotal role mining places. According to Hassan, the mining industry has the capacity to contribute 10% to the national GDP. He says we want to make this vision a reality by assisting the private sector in maintaining the national economy.

Industry professionals, government representatives, and geoscientists had gathered to discuss prospects and tactics that will enable the mining industry to reach its full potential by looking for different approaches to mineral value addition.

In order to advance sustainable development in the mining industry, guests had the opportunity to examine investment options, talk about regulatory frameworks, and cultivate collaborations.
