He emphasized that these security upgrades, alongside city lighting, aim to create a welcoming atmosphere, making it evident to visitors that they’ve arrived in Dar es Salaam. He encouraged swift progress, so traders feel secure and operate with confidence.
Renovation of Kariakoo Market, now 90% complete with a budget of 28 billion TZS, is undergoing final verifications for market traders to occupy their slots. This project, coordinated with the Ministry of Regional Administration and Local Governments, aims to open the market soon.
