Initial field operations centre on enhancing the regional access corridor and preparing the foundation for the processing plant, establishing essential operational infrastructure designed to support subsequent development steps. Marc Cernovitch, the company’s president and chief executive officer, highlighted that the project is transitioning from administrative preparation to direct civil execution, applying a disciplined, locally managed operational framework intended to preserve asset value throughout active construction and future mining operations. Undertaken through an established engineering, procurement, and construction management strategy, primary execution is led by City Engineering Company Ltd., a fully local entity, with international advisory services provided by Sutton Consulting International Ltd. and daily operations directed by on-site company managers.
Current active tasks incorporate roadway grading to facilitate reliable heavy transport, vegetation clearing, topsoil stockpiling for future land restoration, processing pad compaction, defensive earth berm shaping, and trenching for underground utility lines. Simultaneously, the residential compound is receiving final interior finishings alongside functional water retention and electrical power infrastructure, ensuring the complex can immediately transition into a permanent operational facility once mineral processing commences.
