A 748 million/-water project that has completed 90% completion would assist around 7,600 residents of Einoti and Losinyai villages in Simanjiro District, Manyara Region.
The project, which is being jointly carried out by the government, World Vision Tanzania, and the Rural Water Supply and Sanitation Agency (RUWASA), is anticipated to improve public health, decrease the amount of time residents must spend fetching water, and increase access to clean and safe water.
The Oljoro No. 5 Ward project will benefit 7,634 inhabitants, including 1,437 pupils.
During an inspection conducted by District Administrative Secretary Ms. Warda Abeid, the Simanjiro District Security and Defense Committee expressed satisfaction with the project’s advancement.
In order to expedite the implementation of programs that directly benefit the livelihoods of local communities, she stated that cooperation between the government and development partners is essential.
According to Ms. Warda, World Vision Tanzania paid 268 million to extend the water supply infrastructure, while the government contributed 480 million.

She pointed out that the initiative will greatly lessen the strain of obtaining water, especially for women and children who have been traveling great distances in quest of the resource for many years.
