Posta Receives KSh72 Million from TMEA for Cross-Border Deliveries

The Postal Corporation of Kenya (Posta) has received KSh72 million from Trade Mark East Africa (TMEA), seeking to enhance its cross-border e-commerce deliveries.

Under the deal, the Corporation says it intends to increase its capacity to process 10,000 packages daily to provide an efficient logistics and distribution platform for e-commerce entrepreneurs and customers.

Further, the funding will help it enhance internal digital capacities and improve collaboration with external, both regional and global actors, in the e-commerce space.
The deal seeks to facilitate expanded trade capacity of targeted businesses through increased use of technology to increase regional trade and linking businesses to international markets.

Earlier in March 2021, Posta and the National Transport and Safety Authority entered into a business deal, with the Corporation tasked with providing logistics and delivery services of Log Books, Driving Licenses, PSV Badges and other documents countrywide.
