The Ghanaian government received a sizable shipment of LiuGong equipment in order to help The District Road Improvement Programme (DRIP), which is a component of the regional economic development strategy. Independence Square in Accra hosted a big project launch ceremony organized by the Ghanaian government. The event was attended by about 3,000 people, including Senior Vice President Luo Guobing, Chairman & CEO of LiuGong Zeng Guang’an, President of Ghana Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, Mr. Li Yaohong, Commercial Counselor of the Chinese Embassy in Ghana, and representatives from various government departments in Ghana.
“Ghana is undergoing a crucial period of fast development. The creation of infrastructure is a critical issue that must be addressed in order to achieve economic takeoff. The government’s acquisition of 1,000 pieces of LiuGong equipment is extremely important for boosting local livelihoods and improving rural transportation.
Since the 1990s, LiuGong has operated in Africa thanks to assistance from the Chinese government. With more than 30,000 units already in operation, LiuGong provides services and equipment to a wide range of clients and significant projects around the continent today. LiuGong is also dedicated to social sustainability and public welfare. We started the Green Alliance Initiative a year ago to provide funding for African public welfare initiatives. Our project, which began in South Africa this year and is set to grow to other nations, aims to give locals access to clean water and establish the groundwork for an African people’s sustainable and healthy way of life.
For the DRIP project, LiuGong has donated a thousand pieces of all-purpose construction equipment. 261 counties in Ghana will receive these machines as a means of supporting social and economic development there. Furthermore, LiuGong has developed 16 regional service centers across the country that provide round-the-clock expert services, in addition to a call center and spare parts depot in Ghana. These service facilities strive to guarantee prompt equipment performance and timely response to customer needs. LiuGong intends to further advance localized operations in Africa by working with regional universities to develop expertise for engineering machinery.
